Join families across California on Tuesday, November 3 to follow the results that will shape our kids’ future
Every law that touches our children, from what they learn in the classroom to who makes their medical decisions, is written by the people we elect. On Tuesday night, those people will be chosen. PERK wants families to be watching, informed, and ready to engage with whoever takes office.
That’s why we’re sharing Election Night 2026: Independent Edition, a free, eight-hour national broadcast presented by United Independents and produced by DeFiance Media, live from the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
Details
When: Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 3–11 PM PT (6 PM–2 AM ET)
Where to watch: election2026.live, free and open to everyone
Hosts: Christopher Life, Macy Gunnell, and Ryan Rabah
You don’t need a ticket, and you don’t need to register to watch live. If you’d like viewing details and reminders, you can sign up ahead of time at the website.
Why Families Should Tune In
The broadcast will follow the national results across Republican, Democratic, and independent races (Including Congressional race between Kevin Kiley and Richard Pan), with political analysis and guest conversations throughout the night. It also gives dedicated coverage to competitive independent races that could influence the balance of power in Congress, races that often get little attention elsewhere.
For PERK families, the question on election night is simple: who will be making decisions about our children’s education and health, and how will we make sure parents have a voice with them? Understanding the results is the first step toward the work that comes after: the meetings, the letters, the testimony, and the relationships with lawmakers that protect parental choice and educational freedom.
There are additional featured guests.
Host a Watch Party
Election night is better together. Gather your family, your homeschool group, your church community, or your neighbors, in person or online.
In person: Connect a laptop to a TV or projector, open election2026.live, and test your picture, sound, and internet ahead of time.
Online: Start a Zoom or Google Meet call, share your screen with “Share computer sound” and “Optimize for video clip” turned on, and ask guests to mute or wear headphones to avoid echo. A group text or WhatsApp chat works great for live reactions.
A few tips: open 15 minutes early, ask guests which races they’re following, keep the conversation respectful, and remind your RSVPs the day before. You can watch the whole eight hours or just a few.
Hosting a party? The full Watch Party Hosting Guide has a checklist and a sample invitation. If you run a channel or website and want to carry the live feed, see the Broadcast Distribution Instructions.
Stay Engaged After the Votes Are Counted
Election night is only the beginning. Whoever wins, PERK will be there in January, bringing parents’ concerns to lawmakers in Sacramento and Washington. Watch with us Tuesday, and then stand with us for the work ahead.
