Triple Oversight Fees, diverting money from classrooms to bureaucracy
Block New Charter Growth, even where parent demand is high
Crush Innovation by limiting enrichment and learning programs like STEM, music, languages, and therapies
Imposes Rigid Formulas: Ties funding to physical seat time—penalizing students who thrive in alternative learning settings.
Hurt Small Businesses that partner with charters to support learning
Discriminate Against Flexible Learning Models, despite no widespread fraud
Targets Vulnerable Students: Disproportionately harms at-risk, minority, special needs, and rural students.
