FIRST RESPONDERS: TELL THEM YOURSELF
Dear PERK Members,
In partnership with Firefighters for Freedom, who graciously gave PERK permission as a trusted organization to poll their stakeholders, PERK launched a key survey among approximately 5,000 firefighters in the state of California. The results were overwhelming. The vaccinated and the unvaccinated alike want medical freedom.
In 2021, a federal recommendation became your job requirement almost overnight.
Now the federal government has opened a public comment period on how those recommendations are made, and one of its own questions asks what mandates did to public trust. They asked. So answer them. File your own comment, in your own words, at regulations.gov under Docket No. HHS-OS-2026-0332 by September 18.
Three paragraphs is plenty: what you did during those years, what the mandate cost you and your family, and what a system that respected individual assessment would have looked like. Comments post publicly exactly as written, so share only what you are comfortable making public. And if you have a pending legal case, talk to your attorney before you file. Your story belongs on this record, and no one can tell it but you.
What we found was that 91% of firefighters think the COVID-19 mandates were inappropriate. (See more here)
