PERK was founded in 2019 by a group of passionate mothers in Sacramento, advocating for their children's educational rights. Over the years, our mission has evolved to encompass a broader scope, extending our fight to protect sovereignty and parental rights against concerning bills. In addition to educational rights, we now stand by first responders, firefighters, teachers, nurses, and parents. Today, we are excited to unveil our new logo for PERK, symbolizing our continued dedication to defending medical freedom and essential rights.
PERK Supports Protect Kids California Act
We have just 8 days left to gather signatures before the May 15th deadline. We're asking everyone to gather 10 signatures daily until May 15th. It's crucial to get this initiative on the November ballot. Please mail in your collected 10 signatures each time.
We're also organizing "Petition Parties" across the state on Wednesday, May 15th, for people to submit their signed petitions and gather more signatures. If you're in Ventura County, PERK will host a petition party next Wednesday, 5/15, at Pizza Cookery from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, located at 75 W. Thousand Oaks Blvd. in Thousand Oaks. Come have dinner and either drop off your petition or sign it there.
For other statewide locations please visit www.protectkidsactca.com and click the events tab.
Signatures must be received by 5/15/24
What is the Protect The Kids Act?
Requires schools to notify parents regarding children's mental health concerns identified in school settings, including gender identification issues.
Protects girls competitive sports and school spaces to be for biological girls only.
Prevents the sterilization of children by prohibiting the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, mastectomies and genital surgeries for minors.
How has PERK contributed to leading this effort?
The PERK team has been diligently working to promote awareness of this initiative. We have consistently featured the details of the act in every newsletter and actively shared this information across our social media platforms.
In Orange County, our team has engaged with over ten groups to raise awareness, recruit leaders for signature collection, and actively gather signatures. Similarly, our Los Angeles team has reached out to numerous groups with the same objective.
The Ventura team has been collaborating with the Protect Kids Act executive team to stay updated on developments, and refine strategies. Furthermore, our Ventura team has reached out to various groups and organizations along the California coast to raise awareness, recruit leaders, and collect signatures.
The final signature drive will take place on April 28th from 10:00am- 2:00pm. This is your last opportunity to submit signatures and remaining petitions. We will handle the mailing for you. For a list of all the locations across California please visit: www.protectkidaca.com (on this link you will also find other events happening around town).
