Dear PERK members.
We are always at the forefront, protecting you and your children. We write to inform you about some recent rumors circulating about the measles outbreaks in the news and the relationship between those and unvaccinated individuals. The unvaccinated have been used as scapegoats to push an ulterior motive, taking away our rights and our ability to choose what we can and cannot put into our bodies. The media, various health agencies, and policymakers have been building vaccine laws on lies, and blaming one group to rationalize those laws.
Historically, the hype in the news around Measles outbreaks has had ulterior motives to push the vaccine agenda. In the 1980s and 1990s, when measles outbreaks were examined, the media and the news put forth misleading information about the source of the outbreaks. An excellent resource is Dissolving Illusions by Dr. Suzanne Humphries.
Multiple scientific journals have proved that the outbreaks originated from the vaccinated individuals who received the Measles vaccine. In the years highlighted, 90% of the outbreaks are due to vaccinated individuals, showing that the vaccine strain of the Measles is actually the culprit of the Measles outbreaks.
The misclassification of the outbreak on unvaccinated individuals serves a purpose, which is to introduce stricter vaccination laws. To introduce such laws, the blame must be placed on the unvaccinated individuals.
The problem is, it isn’t the unvaccinated’s fault. In 2017, the CDC admitted they knew information about the vaccine strain of the Measles being the cause of the 2015 outbreak, but they chose to withhold that from the public. By doing so, the hype surrounding the Measles outbreaks became the precursor to the introduction of SB-277 in California, which removed religious and personal belief medical exemptions.
Even the US Navy has been able to acknowledge the vaccine strains of Measles being the cause of these outbreaks.
When science, the media, and health agencies are dishonest, they lose the trust of the general public. When legislation is built on lies, it compromises the fabric of our institutions, governing bodies, and education systems. PERK is here to combat that. PERK is integral for restoring rights back to the people and more specifically: the parents. PERK’s advocacy programs that educate legislators and policymakers are crucial to this goal, as simply educating them on these very issues brings integrity back to the conversation.
Here are the key talking points historically used to push these legislative efforts:
1. Claims of declining vaccination rates and threats to herd immunity
2. Focus on specific schools or counties
3. Fear-mongering around measles
4. Blaming an “unregulated” group or institution
5. Amplifying fears of deadly outbreaks
6. Using all of the above to justify new laws
Why is this important now? Because we are seeing the same pattern emerging again in recent California media coverage.
The Bigger Issue
The public’s trust in health regulatory agencies is eroding. These agencies have mandated products for children without liability and without double-blind placebo safety trials. Parents and families are fed up with lawmakers and policymakers who use the vaccine issue to trample on:
Religious freedoms
Personal beliefs
Education Access
Doctor-patient relationships
Medical privacy
All while using coercive tactics and making decisions that appear to benefit corporations more than children.
This is a failure of government, health agencies, and legislators who have enabled corporate capture at every level—with children as the ultimate sacrifice for profit and power.
Whenever—and however—the next battle comes, stand with PERK, united and ready to fight back.
Stay Informed,
Amy Bohn
